The Best Remodeler in Fort Worth

Award-winning Fort Worth remodel by 6th Ave Homes — featured 1408 Lipscomb project, Fairmount-area redesign

Voted Best Home Remodeler & Builder by Fort Worth Magazine — four years running. That's not a tagline. That's families across Tanglewood, Westcliff, Ryan Place, Berkeley Place, Mistletoe Heights, TCU, Aledo, and Mansfield voting four years in a row with the only thing that actually matters: their own home.

If you're shopping for the team that should handle your remodel, this is the page. We'll show you what makes the 6th Ave Homes process different, what the work looks like across the metroplex, what it costs, who's on the team, and what real clients have said. No suit-and-tie pitch, no padded fixed bids, no calling three different companies to coordinate one project.

We're the one-stop-shop for buying, selling, design, and construction in Fort Worth. Founded in 2016 by Jamey Ice and Jimmy Williams. Run today by a team of designers, draftsmen, construction PMs, and 47+ Guides who all sit in the same building on Bryan Avenue.

Our process

  1. Step 1 · Meet Up

    Free first conversation, no pressure

We sit down with you — at our office, your house, or a coffee shop. We listen to what you're trying to do, walk the home if it's a remodel, look at the lot if it's a new build. You leave the Meet Up with a real understanding of what's possible, and we leave with what we need to put a Game Plan together. No commitment until you've seen the plan and the number.

  2. Step 2 · Team Up

Game Plan — the whole picture, before you commit

We assign the right combination of Guide, Designer, Construction PM, and Draftsman to your project. You get a Game Plan: scoped price range, layout drafts, 3D renderings, material direction, realistic timeline. Everything you need to make a decision before you commit a dollar to construction.

  3. Step 3 · Glasses Up

A home that finally feels like you

We finish. We walk through the work with you. We raise a glass on the front porch of a home you actually want to come home to. Then we stay in touch — most of our clients come back for their second and third projects.

Frequently asked questions

Are you really voted the Best Remodeler in Fort Worth?

Yes — Fort Worth Magazine's annual Best Of reader vote. Four years running (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025). Verified each year by Fort Worth Magazine's editorial team.

What types of remodels do you take?

Whole-home renovations, large additions (second-story, primary suite, kitchen expansion), master bath and kitchen remodels, attic conversions, mother-in-law suites and garage apartments, butler pantries and sculleries, custom new builds, and pool and outdoor living. We don't do single-trade jobs under $15K.

What neighborhoods do you serve?

Greater Fort Worth (Tarrant County), Parker County (Aledo office), and Mansfield (new office, 2025). Active across Tanglewood, Westcliff, Ryan Place, Berkeley Place, Mistletoe Heights, TCU, Park Hill, Crestwood, Westover Hills, Bel Air, Mira Vista, Ridglea, Arlington Heights, Fairmount, and more.

How does Cost Plus pricing work?

You see what we paid for materials, subcontractors, and labor — plus a transparent 10–15% builder fee. No hidden buffer. When materials come in under, you pay less. When something has to change mid-project, the line item changes and you see why.

Do you do design only — without construction?

Yes. Design in a Day, design selections only, or full design + furniture installation. Many clients start with design and add construction later.

How long does a typical project take?

Master bath: 6–10 weeks. Kitchen: 10–14 weeks. Whole-home renovation: 6–12 months. Custom new build: 10–16 months. We give you a real timeline at the Game Plan stage, not a guess.

Can you help me buy a home AND renovate it?

Yes — that's the whole point of the one-stop-shop. Our Real Estate Guides know construction, so when you tour a house, you're not wondering "can this work" — you're getting answers. Once you buy, our Design and Construction teams take over.

Who is on the leadership team?

Co-founders Jamey Ice and Jimmy Williams. Principal Designer Kayla East. Construction Director LB Bernhard Staats. Broker Brian St. Clair, leading 47+ Guides. Plus an in-house team of designers, draftsmen, and construction PMs.
