Fort Worth
Real Estate, Design & Construction in Fort Worth

Fort Worth is the kind of city where a 1920s Fairmount bungalow and a new build in Tanglewood can land on the same agent's calendar. Same week, even. We know — that's a normal week for us.
Since 2014 we've been bringing old homes back to life and building new ones from a shop on Bryan Avenue. We sell homes here. We design homes here. We build homes here. Usually for the same person on the same project. That's the one-stop-shop part — and it's the reason Fort Worth Magazine has named us Best Home Remodeler & Builder four years running.

What we have built in Fort Worth

Lipscomb living room — Fairmount-area redesign
A modern living room in the Fairmount corridor, designed by our in-house team. Same team that drew the plans was on site for the install.

2233 Fairmount — bungalow kitchen restored
A 1920s Fairmount bungalow kitchen brought to 2025. White countertops, gray cabinetry, open shelves with gold piping. The back window stayed; everything else got rebuilt.

Mistletoe Heights — exposed brick + brass
Original brick wall and wooden ceiling beams stayed; navy cabinets, a brass flower pendant, and a new dining nook went in. Bones preserved, everything else restored.

1910 Old Annetta — Parker County custom build
A custom home in Parker County designed and built start to finish. Brick, stone, gray siding, and a Cost Plus contract from foundation to keys.

Why 6th Ave Homes in Fort Worth
What makes 6th Ave Homes different in Fort Worth: we have an in-house design team and our own draftsmen producing permit-ready floor plans. Most contractors hand you off to an architect, then translate every change three times. We don't. The same team that drew the plans builds the project. Less translation, fewer surprises, faster start.
We also run Cost Plus — your actual costs from our trades, plus a transparent 10–15% builder fee. No padding, no surprises. You see every invoice.
The full loop sits under one roof: brokerage with 47 Guides who live in the neighborhoods they work in, interior design from concept to install, construction from whole-home renovations to ground-up new builds, and pool and outdoor for when the project keeps going past the back door.
What clients have said
My husband and I worked with Kayla on designing our house. I can't say enough good things about 6th Ave and her. Kayla met every deadline and was always available for questions. We appreciated the constant communication. She listened to what my husband and I wanted and did an amazing job bringing all our ideas together while offering helpful suggestions. Highly recommend working with 6th Ave!
Wonderful team to work with! Really listened to how we wanted to use the space and then created a beautiful vision for our home. Plus, they made the process fun and easy.
The best in Fort Worth! Their designers nailed our vision and their construction team did a fantastic job. Great communication!
Frequently asked questions
What Fort Worth neighborhoods do you work in?
Across the whole city — Fairmount, Mistletoe Heights, Ryan Place, Tanglewood, Westcliff, Berkeley Place, TCU, Park Hill, Crestwood, Bel Air, Westover Hills, Mira Vista, Ridglea. We also work west into Aledo and broader Parker County, and we recently opened a Mansfield office.
Do you handle historic homes?
Yes. We started in Fairmount in 2014 and we've worked on hundreds of pre-1940 homes since. We know which permits you need, which historic overlay rules apply, and how to make a 1920s house work in 2026 without stripping out what makes it special.
How does Cost Plus actually work?
You see every invoice from every trade. On top of that, we add a transparent 10–15% builder fee that covers running the project — scheduling, supervision, draws, warranty. Compared to a fixed-bid contract, you pay the actual cost of materials and labor rather than a padded estimate.
How long does a Fort Worth renovation take?
A kitchen alone runs about 8 to 12 weeks once we break ground. A whole-home renovation is typically 6 to 12 months depending on scope. The bigger variable is design and permits — we like to be drawn, priced, and approved before we lift a hammer.
Do I have to use 6AH for buying, design, and construction together?
No. Brokerage, design, and construction work as separate engagements or as a single one-stop-shop. The advantage of using all three is fewer handoffs and a single accountable team — but plenty of clients just buy or just sell with us, or just hire us for a renovation.
Can I see a project in person?
We open active jobsites for serious clients on a case-by-case basis. Meet Up first — we'll go from there.
